What is vain and what is not? It’s an eternal search for those with possessions and those without. Was my birth through pain, in vain? Are my childhood struggles, in vain? Are my adulthood toils, in vain? Are my old age thoughts, in vain? It all will be, if my deeds are desultory and faded into the night.
What is real and what is not? It is an unanswered question for those with vision and those without. All that I see, is it an illusion? The touch of love, is it a false sensation? The feeling of contentment, is it a delusion? The sound of music, is it a pseudo-expression? It all will be, if my words are meaningless and faded into the night.
What is truth and what is not? It is an unanswered question for those with faith and those without. If predestination is true, is my purpose spurious? If God is true, is my freedom fallacious? If life is arbitrary, are my emotions meaningless? If death is the end, are my actions frivolous? It all will be, if my life was without purpose and faded into the night.
Should I search for enlightenment or not? It is a question for those with inquisitiveness and those without. Search for truth amidst the deceptions. Search for purpose amidst the vainness. Search for what you cannot see in the light. Search for what you can see in the dark. For in this quest you will learn the truth and find the light.
So what to live, stand, and die for? It is a question for those with answers and those without. Be kind, for this will create peace. Be empathetic, for this will create justice. Be merciful, for this will create harmony. Be generous, for this will create equality. Do these deeds, for only then your name will forever stay in the light.
